In the last year we came to realize that staying in Chugiak, within the Anchorage municipality, was no longer possible for our kennel. After a long search and plenty of frustration (and squatting in various difficult locations for almost 6 months), we finally found our spot!
We are now located all the way up past Willow, almost to
Talkeetna. The commute to Wasilla for work is difficult, but the
trade offs make it worth it. Forty acres, a log house, and
an enormous barn, trail access, and a beautiful location.
And although it looks like we must be
billionaires to have a place like this, let me assure you that we got the deal
of a lifetime. We are, as usual, just barely scraping by.
